World Central Kitchen provides "meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises" and is well rated on Charity Navigator for its accountability and transparency. Donate to WCK here.
The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County provides programs, shelter, and meals for "people struggling with homelessness, including first-time homelessness, veterans, domestic violence survivors, and people battling substance abuse and/or mental health issues". It is well rated on Charity Navigator for its finances and accountability. Its base is in the Robert J. Delonis Center, which we pass by every time we go downtown. NARAL Pro-Choice America advocates for reproductive rights in the United States. Its mission is "[t]o support and protect, as a fundamental right and value, a woman's freedom to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices through education, training, organizing, legal action, and public policy". They are a highly-rated charity by both Charity Navigator and charitywatch.org. Donate here.
